We are based on Loch Craignish lagoon, near Ardfern, Argyll, Scotland. This is an area of the greatest natural beauty, where wildlife abounds and it is not uncommon to see otters and seals fairly close inshore, while porpoises and dolphins are often seen from the keelboats. Sailing is one of the main reasons for living here!

Although the Club has no Clubhouse, it has a rented site, with a slipway and space to keep dinghies and canoes. Over the years it has become increasingly active as membership has grown.

The Club owns several dinghies, including 4 Optimists, 2 Toppers, 2 Picos, and a Wayfarer, plus a number of canoes and 2 rescue boats. There are currently an RYA Coach, Senior Instructor and 7 dinghy instructors, also one canoe instructor and qualified rescue boat operators in the Club. We have a fleet of 10 privately-owned Flying Fifteens, plus cruisers, many of which are moored in the lagoon.

Monday evenings during the summer are set aside for junior sailing and between April and September over 20 cadet and junior members turn up regularly for instruction. Those children who become ready to move on to some more challenging sailing can join the adults who go afloat on Thursday evenings or, later in the season, Sunday afternoons. These sessions involve a series of informal races, which are a great way for all ages of learner members to gain experience sailing with a competent helmsman, either as crew or as helm under direction. Sunday afternoon mid-season is also becoming a focus for more adventurous Flying Fifteen outings, such as Crinan and back!

During the season, a number of cruises in company are organised and the Club also participates in the Clyde Corinthian Yacht Club's Round Shuna Race, about the beginning of September.
