Membership.

Adult Sailing members are classed as ORDINARY or HUSBAND & WIFE, whilst persons aged 18 to 21 are classed as MIDSHIPMEN and enjoy preferential rates. These classes are 'Full' members able to participate in the administration of the Club.

The Club caters for younger members with a JUNIOR CADET category for children aged up to 12 years, and CADET membership for those aged between 12 and 18.

A special category of COUNTRY or HUSBAND & WIFE COUNTRY membership with reduced rates is available for members who live outside the immediate area, and as a result are unable to benefit fully from the Club facilities. We also offer Affiliated Membership for sailing groups within companies at very attractive rates.

SOCIAL membership is available for non boating types who wish to use the Clubhouse facilities and participate in the social activities of the Club.

TEMPORARY membership is also available at the discretion of the management committee for individuals and families visiting the area.

Membership subscriptions

An annual subscription is payable for all classes of membership, with the exception of TEMPORARY membership which is available to family groups for a period of up to 15 days per year in return for a donation to Club funds. In addition there is an initial 'Entry Fee' payable for the 'Full Member' categories. The table below details subscription and entry fees for 2007 - 2008.

How to join

We have a restricted membership which is at present open. Entry is subject to proposal and subsequent election. We are always pleased to welcome prospective members to the Clubhouse on a Friday evening to give you an opportunity to meet us and see for yourself the facilities the Club has to offer.
