Tackle
A 12 to 20lb class rod is mostly used with a matching multiplier reel filled with line up to 20lb.
A 50lb rod for Congering, matching reel filled with 40 to 50lb line.
A 12lb rod maximum for the Skerries, with 10lb line.

End Gear
Redgills, Jelly Worms, storm lures or any artificial American type soft plastic Lure.
All these run off a flying trace, with either a French Boom or a swivel, with 5 to 10oz bomb weight.
Feathers, sets of 3 for around the wrecks, and sets of 6 for bait fishing with 8 to 12oz bomb weights.
8/O to 12/O conger hooks on 200lb plus mono, 18 inches long with 1 & 1/2lb to 2lb cone leads on zip slides.

Bait
Mackerel and squid for wrecking.
Crab worm and shellfish. i.e. Razor for the Skerries.
