Stourport Cruiser Club Information

Stourport Cruiser Club was formed in 1991 at Stourport Marina, Sandy Lane, Stourport-on-Severn on the River Severn in Worcestershire. The Cruiser Club is made up of berth-holders in the Marina and associated Marina Club members.

The Marina is ideally situated for cruising the length of the River Severn and the associated Staffs/Worcs canal, Worcester/Birmingham canal network and easy access down the Severn to Tewkesbury and the River Avon. The Marina is located just above Lincomb Lock, with the historic canal town of Stourport just a short cruise away.

The Committee organise both boating and club-house events throughout the year, the largest of which is the annual Regatta/Fun Day. Here members can take part in dinghy races - rowing - blindfold - balloon - handling and there is a boat handling competition for the members. Stalls, Pig Roast, Entertainment, Competitions all make for a great day out. Visitors are most welcome - either by car or by boat if visiting the River Severn. Berths need to be booked in advance by telephoning the Marina direct on 01299-827082 who will endeavour to accomodate your boat.

The Cruiser Club takes part in events organised by and down the River Severn: The 3 Clubs Spring Regatta at Gloucester Docks, Upton Water Festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend, the Stourport-on-Severn River Carnival (usually the first Saturday in September) to name just three. There are also various club cruises organised down the River Severn for social get-togethers in the form of barbeques, skittles nights etc. There are always plenty of events to join in and the committee always welcome visitors to any event. The winter period is for club-based events, skittles nights, quiz nights, theme nights etc. See our diary page for dates planned for this year.
