CHECKLIST FOR ALL HELMS

  1. Your boat must be insured against third party risks for at least £1,000,000.
  2. You are responsible for ensuring that each person in your boat wears a suitable bouyancy aid properly fastened
  3. If cruising during a racing session, you should talk to the OOD about where and when it is reasonable for you to sail, and sign the Cruising Book in the Starting Box, before launching your boat.
    4. If racing, enter each race at the Starting Box before your Warning Signal, unless advised otherwise.
  4. If you are not involved in the race at that point, please keep clear of racing boats, of the Start and Finish lines, and of Rounding Marks.
  5. Refrain from sailing in heavy weather beyond your capability and causing the rescue facilities to be strained.
  6. Please give the rescue boat crew clear indication whether or not you require assistance.
