The Nottage is home to The Friends of the Nottage, a group of supporters who may use the Nottage facilities and attend 6 lectures on a variety of subjects during the winter months. You also have use of our extensive maritime library, and receive a copy of our bi-annual Newsletter.
The Nottage Maritime Institute, on The Quay,Wivenhoe is a unique and historic institution right on your doorstep. For an annual subscription of just £10 or £18 per couple, you can become a "Friend of the Nottage". This represents a great investment; not only will you help the Nottage to continue its important activities, but you can also attend our winter lecture series completely free of charge. All talks begin at 7.30pm and generally finish by 9.30pm. You are welcome to bring guests, for a small donation and subject to availability of seats.
We have to mention that we have a stair lift at the rear of the building suitable for walking disabled, people that have difficulty getting out their wheelchair may require assistants.
