Club Closure |
We are sorry to announce that
following an extraordinary meeting in March 2004 the club membership have agreed to close
the club. This is due to declining membership. It is expected that for a second
season the resevoir will be drained to facilitate repairs. Additionally the continued
growth, expected extension and general unpleasantness of the the adjacent landfill site
have made it difficult to recruit new membership over the years. |

Sailing Activities |
sailing since mid August 2003 has become impractical to to low
waterlevels. This is due to British Waterways draining of the Reservoir for major repairs
to the dam. |
