About the Club

Market Bosworth was founded at it's present site in 1992 and caters for all ages and abilities with the main club days being Thursdays and Sundays.

The most supported is Thursday when we hold club (friendly) races from 10am till 4pm or thereabouts all year round attracting up to a dozen boats. Anyone is welcome as we are always looking for new members. Membership currently stands at 29 at present.

The club is affiliated to the Model Yachting Association, By joining the club you get third party insurance cover, competitions, measuring and rating certificates for your yacht, club news letters and not the least friendly help and advice.

One Sunday in every month from April to October (excluding August) a club challenge takes place starting at 10am till 1pm. The racing usually consists of 10 races with one discards.

The club does meet on other Sundays for a friendly sail and good banter

The Midland District Champion Skipper Series and the Sears Trophy are also held at Market Bosworth on a Sunday early in the year.

Basic Membership costs £8.00 and includes MYA Membership and Insurance, enhanced membership is also available.
