General Guidance

Courses are normally at the following times

Requirements

Children must be 8 years or older. Everyone should be able to swim a short distance.

Clothing

You Will Get Wet

Please bring several layers of warm clothing, a complete set of spare clothes AND shoes for going home. Bring more in case you get wet in the morning and want to get dry at lunch time. If you own or can borrow a wet suit, that is fine but not necessary at this stage. Club members often lend their gear to trainees but we can't be sure what is available.

You Will Get Cold

A wind proof top, like a cagoule is vital. Bring a big pullover or fleece/coat to warm up when you finish. You need shoes that can happily get wet. Most people wear trainers. Wellingtons are too bulky and you'll have cold feet in sandals. Waterproof over-trousers are very useful. The club has a good selection of buoyancy aids for your use.

Fees

The club aims to give quality training. We do not teach large groups at any one time. If you are interested, please return the form with your fee, as soon as possible to secure a place. If one is available we will send you a membership form to sign. Should we be fully booked, we will return your cheque immediately otherwise the fee is non-returnable.

Lunch

You'll get hungry!!!

Bring a packed lunch. Hot and cold drinks are available in the club-house. If you have any queries, please ring Judith (or Alan) Bolton or Mervyn Reece or e-mail llandegfedd@rya-online.net

Return the form with cheque to: Judith Bolton.
