2005 Race Programme

The main club race programme has been split into four sections, each for one season, to make it easier to view the programme on this site. These are shown in the table below. Further down the page are the Open Meetings

Sundays

Each Sunday we have the same format of races. All Sundays have three races.

• 13:30 A 45 minute pursuit is first, shown by "P" on the programme. All boats sail in one race
• This is followed immediately by handicap races started back-to-back without leaving the water.
• 16:00 The last race of the day is also a handicap race.

Starts

Another web page covers the full start sequence. Sunday Handicap races will be split into the following fleets to provide varied racing for all sailors;

• An Asymmetric Handicap race which may only have two buoys, windward and leeward
• A General Handicap fleet which will use the same buoys, plus some more to give reaching legs
• A Junior course suitable for Optimists

In October only, the start time for the first race is advanced an hour to 12:30.

There are three Sunday pursuit series; Spring, Summer and Autumn.

Wednesdays

• All races start at 19:00. All boats race together as one handicap fleet
