Family Sailing?

Sailing is a sport that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities. We have children under 10 and senior members over 70 who race and get good scores.

The sport is unusual in not needing intense fitness, but has an element of cunning as well as physical agility

The key choice is what sort of boat to choose; a safe family boat? a more adventurous family boat? a fast and exciting boat suitable for lightweights or teenagers? a boat more suitable for those who don't want to risk getting very wet? The sport caters for all. See our brief "classes" overview

In 2000 five out of our top six boats throughout the season were sailing by family pairs. Father/son, husband/wife, father/children

Training

We train families, but attempt to keep them apart during some of it so that they learn independently. We don't want to show dad up as a slower learner than his daughter if we can avoid it!
