Taxi to Grand Palace but too late so too mad Tuk Tuk ride to Golden Mountain and (finally via 3 stores) to boat trip on klongs Supper in curiously named "Cabbages and Condoms" restaurant - serious public health message not sex shop! Girls bewitched by kitten with great upset when they were told they could not take it home after staff in restaurant said they could! |

| Tuesday 20th July | Nick and Angharad spent morning on Thai cookery course -
delicious. Taxi to river then took river taxi to Wat Arun. Again too late
for Grand Palace so on policeman's advice, took taxi to Wat Suthet (only
open for day) and Royal Lapidary Factory where bought serious necklace for
Alison.
Quick dash back for further fitting of Nick's suit then out for supper at C&C again. |

| Wednesday 21st July | Up early for quick swim before breakfast then off to Grand Palace with Sit from the gem factory. Very crowded with jostling Chinese and Koreans. Then on to Golden Teak Palace (Vimarnmek) which was somewhat boring! Back for final suit fitting and check out from hotel for flight to Oz. |  |
