NOTICE OF RACE

TOPPER TRAVELLER SERIES 2002

 

1.      The Series will be sailed on the following dates at the clubs listed below.

 

6.4.02                                        CUSHENDALL

28.4.02                                    LOUGH ERNE

11.5.02                                    QUOILE

29.6.02                                    WHITEHEAD

27.7.02                                    COLERAINE/ PORTRUSH

(Registration on that day to take place at Portrush)

04.8.02                                    CARRICKFERGUS

15.9.02                                    BALLYHOLME

 

2.      Racing will be governed by the Racing Rules of sailing, the prescriptions of the RYA, the rules of T.I.C.A. and the sailing instructions.

 

3.      Registration for each event will close at 10.00 am on the morning of the event.

 

4.           Entry fee is £10.00 per event payable at registration to each host club

5.      Scoring system will be as in Appendix A.  A minimum of 3 events shall be sailed to constitute a series. 3 races are planned for each event. However, for the purposes of scoring the series, only overall position at each event will count.

 

 

 

6.      Prizes will be awarded to 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd overall and first lady.  Other prizes may be announced on the day.

 

7.      Results in this series plus the Irish and Ulster Championships may count towards a position in the proposed Northern Ireland Topper Squad

 

8.      These shall be 4 categories depending on age at 31.12.02, i.e. under 12, 14, 16, and over 16.

 

9.      Sailing instructions shall be available at Registration and on the Topper Web site.

 

10.  Competitors are advised to bring their own lunch in a sealed package and marked with their name and sail number.
