Haversham Sailing Club's Junior sailing group, the Buccaneers
is open to Club members aged 4 to 16 accompanied by a parent.
Basic training and use of club boats and buoyancy aids supplied.
We also hold a Friday evening race during the summer months
from May. The Club boats include Optimists, Toppers, Lasers
(Full and radial rig) a Wayfarer and an Enterprise.
The winter does not stop the Buccaneers from continuing;
pool sessions swimming in buoyancy aids, theory sessions in
the club house and their very own trophy presentation evening
- and more.
HSC take part in the Milton Keynes Junior Cup which involves
a team of six boats from each of five clubs in the Milton
Keynes area. WINNERS at Great Moor, APRIL 2002! and Stewartby
May 2003!
 The
Club were awarded Champions Club status under the RYA/Volvo
scheme as part of the Bucks and Milton Keynes consortium.
This has opened the way to our junior members receiving top
class instruction from national standard coaches. Which has
lead to them representing MK & Bucks at the National youth
championships and one being invited to compete in the Laser
4.7 World championship.
The best time to visit the club is on a Sunday or (third)
Saturday afternoon. Ask for Mr Grumpy! or give Geoff Birch
