CHARTER CHARGES AND TERMS

Yachts or berths on yachts may be chartered by groups or individuals. Most yachts comfortably sleep 6 crew and will take more for day sails. Yachts normally are to Marine Safety Agency Code 2 standards of safety.

All charters will usually include a Gwennili Trust qualified skipper (RYA Yachtmaster Offshore) and 1st. Mate (RYA Day Skipper). The crew must comprise at least 50% disabled members. The skipper and/or the 1st. Mate may be disabled but if so there must be at least two able bodied crew onboard.  An able bodied Carer counts towards the 50% disabled numbers.

A share of the charter cost, which includes the provision of the yacht, Skipper and 1st. Mate, is payable to The Gwennili Trust. A deposit of 50% is payable on confirmation by the Trust of the booking and the balance is due one month before the charter date.

Charges are as follows: -

Costs :-
£15 /day/person contribution to yacht running costs

Cheques payable to "Gwennili Trust" 50% on confirmation 50% one month in advance.

£10/day/person for victualling payable in cash on joining the yacht

Bursary:-
The Gwennili Trust would not want a disabled person to be unable to sail with the Trust because they couldn't afford it. Although its charges are already subsidized the Trust is prepared, in special circumstances, to award a Bursary of up to 50% of the total cost of participation.
