Laser Club Championships

The Laser Club Championship is a chance for all the clubs where lasers are sailed to compete against each other. Anyone who is in the top 30 of the Laser ladder, has been in the British squad for international Laser events, is a member of a current national squad or has been national champion in another class is not eligible. The racing is about the people who sail regularly at grass roots level and not which club attracts the most international sailors.

There is a series of eight races (five to count) in each club to decide who their "club champions" are and then a final with the top 2/3 sailors from each club competing at Rutland Water on September 13/14th. Our qualifying series will be the Laser Class races between April 6th and June 8th.

To qualify you need to be a member of the UK Laser Association and you need to sail in at least five of these events. Even if you don't wish to go to the finals you can help the team by turning up to at least five of the events as if we have more than nine people qualifying we can send three boats to the final instead of two giving us a better chance.

This year both Great Moor places are up for grabs and Richard Patrick is not eligible!
