Summary: A classic racing / day cruising coastal keelboat. This Swallow was built in 1948 by McGruer’s the famous Clyde boat builder. She has a double diagonal mahogany planked skin over a Canadian rock elm frame and an English oak keel with lead ballast built in. The rig is a fractional Bermudan. She is in superb condition and very well maintained having been stripped to bare wood, re-caulked and painted recently. She has manganese bronze keel bolts. There is a suit of sails, a new road trailer, cockpit cover and many extras to go with her. The high quality of her build is very evident in the way she handles, in all weather conditions, and she will ‘plane’ with relative ease. She is ready to sail now.
