Sail the Wight 2007
Abundant sunshine in the Solent, fog in the Channel and a lack of wind were the order of the day for the East Cowes Sailing Club / Westerly Owners Association / Earl Mountbatten Hospice 'Sail the Wight' 2007. The lack of wind meant that the "finish line" had to be moved to Sandown Bay. Above all, the event was very enjoyable and well supported.

During the evening social, which consisted of a bar, hog roast, raffle and music by the Unity Stompers, a count of £5,000 was raised towards the Hospice. The yacht which with the most sponsorship (name to be published) raised £2,800.
Thanks go to all who took part in the racing, all those involved in organising the event, and to those who contributed to the Hospice fund. Below are a few pictures taken during the evening social.
