The photo pages show the various stages of the restoration project....

  1. New Transom Made. Extent of rot shown in bow. New Top Stringer Made.
  2. Photos before decision made to completely renovate the Dinghy.
  3. Dinghy now stripped of all the plywood, down to the frame.
  4. Stem plywood pieces renewed and laminated onto the original mahogany Stem piece with epoxy.

    5.   More work underway ...

    6.  and hopefully on the way forward

    7.  and things are starting to take shape slow, but sure.... especially having got 'Driftwood' under cover.

    8.  Replacement of bouyancy tank framework

    9.  Turning Driftwood over was uplifting

    10.Glueing bouyancy tank sides in place, and completing the forward deck.

    11.Finishing forward deck underside, then making bottom ply and side ply sections.

    12.Fitting Port side ply, and fitting forwad bottom ply.

    13.Fitting Aft bottom ply, Skeg, Centreboard cheeks, Rubbing Strips and Stem Band.

    14.Priming and Undercoating, then turning her over ...

    15.Fitting Port outer gunwhale & bouyancy tank lids

    16.Fitting Starboard outer gunwhale and forepeak ply

    17.Sanding & Varnishing all wood, then turn over to complete hull

 

    All that is left is :-  Top Coat, further Varnish coats inside, then rigging up for Launching !!
