CLASSES SAILED AT DSC

All classes of dinghy recognised by the RYA with an issued Portsmouth Yardstick Rating may be sailed on Dorchester Lagoon provided they are not more than 5 metres overall length and of mono-hulled construction.

Currently, there is no class racing at Dorchester SC with all races run as General Handicaps.

The most popular single-handed boats at Dorchester are Lasers and Solos, with a number of Comets and Lightnings  and a fair sprinkling of others.  Enterprises, Wayfarers, Mirrors and GP14s comprise the majority of double-handers although quite a number of other classes are also represented.
