Start and Finish
Machell Coppice Car Park. (Grid Ref SD310 952)

Distance
Long Race 7.5km Machell Coppice to Peel Island and back.
Short Race 2.1 Km from Machell Coppice to Fir Island and back.

Classes
Touring Open Canoe Doubles
Touring Sea Kayaks
Racing Kayaks-including Racing Sea Kayaks, K1 or Wavehopper etc.
General purpose kayak
Junior Lightnings (short race)

Prizes
Men's, Lady's and Youth classes depending on entries. (A fun, parent and child event, so please bring the family).

Entry Fee
£5 per kayak or £8 per canoe and £3 for single class junior.

Registration
Machell Coppice between 10am and 11.30am.
Start is at 12 noon.
The toilets at Machell Coppice are closed at present.

This is an open water race and conditions can be testing. Spray decks are compulsory for all kayaks, and all competitors must wear buoyancy aids. Courses may change on the day due to bad weather. All competitors are responsible for their own safety, though safety boats will be on standby.
