Commodore's Cup

There was a good turn-out for the series of three races comprising the challenge for the Commodore's Cup. Mark Bartlett and Rodney Gingell vied for the lead in gusty conditions, whilst Terry and Camilla in the Enterprise gave Andy Bourn a run for his money. Malcolm Gingell and Peter Roberts were also in the running, but found the strong river current and variable wind directions quite difficult at times.

Now I'm sure I've seen something similar to this on a television programme.....

Actually, this is pretty good, because Frank, rowing, built this boat himself, and it's a really nice craft.

Today they were testing out a renovated outboard motor and the last I saw of them they were disappearing round the bend upstream with Graham, red-faced, heaving away at the starting rope!! (Foggy??)
