Set within its own enclosed grounds, with entry via electric gates, the house can accommodate up to 7 adults and 1 baby (a Mothercare travel cot can be supplied if required). With all the creature comforts to enhance your stay, from a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, to a Sony stereo system, a DVD player, wireless broadband internet access and Sky Digital TV* for the essential news from home. With a large BBQ, a covered terrace and a large patio, alfresco dining is the order of the day. There's plenty of space within the grounds for ball games and with a large private swimming pool (10m x 5m) there's plenty to keep the children and adults alike occupied. A mere 5 minute drive away is the market town of Jonzac which boasts wonderful shops, an internet cafe, has abundant historical and cultural attractions, a casino, tropical swimming pool complex, the world famous "Thermes", a lake with sandy beach, rivers with fishing permitted and a horse riding cente. Chez les Roux is located within easy reach of Bordeaux, Cognac, St Emilion, Futuroscope and the famous Royan Beaches and with eleven golf courses within easy reach makes an excellent base for your golfing holiday. price is provided as a guide only and based on a rate of 1.45. Payment in Euros
is acceptable and the exact cost will be calculated at time of booking, based on that
day's Sterling/Euro tourist rate published in the UK by National Westminster
Bank PLC.

Notes on accommodation
A Panoramic view of the rear of the house
Books: There is a small exchange library. Guests are encouraged to bring their own books and swap them with ours. JONZAC (5 mins). Chateau, Live Music Bars, Restaurants and Cafes, Tropical Leisure Complex, Casino, Natural Thermal Spa (Thermes). All major amenities including station, doctors, hospital, supermarkets, garages, weekly market and Post Office. BORDEAUX with its wonderful architecture, cafes and and designer shopping is easily reachable by train from Jonzac station in under an hour. A tram service runs from station to the town center and takes approx 5-10 minutes. Alternately, it is approx 1 hour via the A10 if driving.
Coast/Beaches
ST. GEORGES de DIDONNE (35 mins). Not as crowded as Royan, but with some equally good beaches. Good restaurants and cafes make for a good day out. ROYAN
(40 mins).
The main tourist town in the area, in summer the
boulevard throngs with holiday-makers. Royan has an excellent sandy beach and
some wonderful restaurants and shops. Chez les Roux makes an excellent base for your golfing holiday with eleven (11) golf courses within easy reach. Bordeaux Airport - 60 mins (Air France, BA, FlyBe, Easyjet) Poitiers Airport - 90 mins
