Spread Eagle Sailing Club
presents the
COMBINED BANKS & FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS REGATTA
AT
HAYLING ISLAND SAILING CLUB
THURSDAY 12th TO FRIDAY 13th MAY 2005
The 2005 CBFI Regatta is shaping up to be another exciting event building on the success of last year. We can only hope for a repeat of last years near perfect sailing conditions. A big thank you to our Swiss friends who enlivened proceedings both on and off the water & we look forward to seeing them again.
There should again be plenty of water in the harbour which should tempt some of the longer centre board boats out to play. The event is, as ever, open to any dinghy sailor (crew or helm) who is (or was!) connected to a financial institution.
We will have the benefit this year of Hayling Island Sailing Club's superb new facilities following the club's multimillion pound rebuild. Brand new clubhouse, restaurant, bar, changing rooms and accommodation.

Entries are limited to he first 50 boats.
The fleet will usually sail courses in the harbour but we may venture in to the Bay weather permitting. The fleet will be divided between fast and slow handicap with prizes for each fleet.
The results may be calculated on the 'average ' lap system. Racing will be governed by the current Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of the RYA, the event sailing instructions and appropriate class rules. Racing rules for the Regatta will be available upon arrival. We will use the Local HISC PY handicaps to calculate the scores.
The safety of the yacht and her entire management, including insurance, shall be the sole responsibility of the owner/competitor and crew. Moreover, every owner/competitor warrants the suitability of his/her dinghy for the race or races. Certificates of measurement will not be required to be evidenced, but all competing dinghies should comply with their class rules.
The first start will not be before 11am on the Thursday. Event briefing will be at 10am. You will be advised of any changes to the program at the start of each day. There are expected to be 7 races with 5 to count. 4 races day1, 3 day 2.
Please note there is likely to be a change in starting line to previous years.
