Turpin and Traynor
The Autumn Regatta was held on 30th September at Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club (near Manchester).Winds were light force 1-2 occasionally peaking at force 3.
Race 1 got underway in 5 knots of wind from the East, but after the fleet reached the windward mark it shifted 90% to the south increasing to about 10 knots at times.
making the 3rd leg of the triangular course into a beat.The race was won by Nick Turpin and Joe Traynor in an RS400, with Howard Walkden and Wellington Tsang second in a Laser 2000.
The second race was run on a different course with the wind slowly dying. The RS400 won again with Jim Jerrard and John Martin second in their Laser 2000.
