What a week, with record temperatures and only 1 day of wind. Did this deter the children from Hohne having a great week? No, not a chance, 25 smiling children had a great week learning to sail and windsurf. Sun tan cream was the order of the week as the children got to do various No Wind' water games for 3 of the 5 days. They enjoyed a day trip to the Pirate (a local play area and restaurant). This was followed by a disco and BBQ. Luckily they had a driver and bus so trips were laid on for the cinema and local pool.
On the Thursday they finally got to sail and windsurf. With force 2 winds and 35 degree temperatures we finally had a full day learning new skills. The children learnt very quickly and even managed a small race on the Friday morning before departure. Last year this school group had a week of torrential rain and high winds. At least this year the sun was out. Shame we did not have a bit more wind though.

Col Anderson Deputy Commander Osnabrück Garrison kindly came to present the various prizes for best group best sailor best surfer and best room. He then presented all the children with their certificates. Every one had a great time and they can not wait to return next year. All the staff and instructors would like to thank all the children who where great fun and made it a very enjoyable week for all concerned.
