7)    Apply wood preserver to Race Hut - done, thanks to Mary Masters, who also covered the Club house, Ladies Changing Room and herself!

8)    Paint club house floor - not done, although we cleared the Ladies' Changing Room to make way for moving stuff from the Club house when the floor is painted next month.

Only slightly sour note - two canoeists came down to go out for a paddle while we were scurrying about like busy little field-mice giving up our time to make the Club better for their benefit. It would have been nice had they come down to help. TP

Saturday 15th March

Compound Working Party Day

Well, it rained cats and dogs, but we persevered! Malcolm Gingell, Peter Sims, Simon Willis and Mark Bartlett did some river bank trimming, David Mannering and Nic Rigby cut back some of the bramble hedge, whilst Sheila Perry and Mary Masters cleaned up the two gas barbecues.

Many thanks to them for all their efforts!

Our next Working Party is scheduled for Sunday 20th April, when the main focus will be on clearing rubbish out of the Boat Shed and the Engine Shed.
