  • The Icicle Open Series will start on Sunday 4th January 2009 and run for eight consecutive Sundays. Bough Beech will extend a warm welcome to sailors from other clubs for this popular open series.
  • On 8th and 9th November, Bough Beech hosted the final event of the Wayfarer 50th Anniversary National Circuit Series. Read the report
  • The Third Tonbridge School MT Series started on Saturday 15th November. It will comprise a series of 12 races, on a Saturday afternoon, and is open to Bough Beech sailors under 19 yrs whose boats have a PY greater than 1078
  • The Short Course Winter Series starts on 19th October

    1st Chloe Martin; Laser Radial; 2nd Jamie Gordon; Laser; 3rd Olivia Trapp, Georgia Trapp, 420
    Memorial trophies were awarded for:
    1st 17 - 19 yrs Chloe Martin, Laser Radial; 1st 14 - 16 yrs Jamie Gordon, Laser; 1st 10 - 13 yrs Benedict Cooper, Topper
    Chloe Martin won the trophy for 1st lady.
    Prizes were also awarded for the junior classes taking part:
    1st Feva, Will Chanter & Ellie Smith 1st Topper, Benedict Cooper 1st Tera, Will Bunnis
  • Bough Beech has a full Winter Training programme for its junior and youth sailors, running on Sundays from 9th November - an essential programme for prospective racers. One of the sessions will be an introduction to Team Racing. See the Training page for more details.
  • The Bough Beech Pirates and Buccaneers, started again on 7th September following their Summer break.
  • In addition we have "Ladies Day", the annual "Veterans Race" and the "Sir Alec Rose Trophy". Dates for each of these are on the fixtures list, and are also available in the clubhouse.
  • On Sunday 31st August, Bough Beech welcomes Cherished Memories to the club and will host a special event for children from hospices in South East England along with their families. Cherished Memories organises such special days for families to look back on as an exciting, and memorable occasions. The club, alongside Sailability, will offer a day of sailing adventures for children and their families, teaching some sailing skills, and having fun on the water. Details have been sent to the class reps, and contributions from members with family boats would be most welcome. Who knows, perhaps there might be some competition for the final day of the Summer Short Course Series. For further details contact Commodore Phil Moppett.
  • Any members not sailed for a while? Come to Let's Get Sailing to get your sea legs back! The aim of -Let's Get Sailing- is to encourage existing boat owning members who do not sail or do not sail very much, to get back into sailing.
